TLS, three pages, 8.5 x 11, Cecil B. DeMille Productions letterhead, May 9, 1931. Letter to MGM head Louis B. Mayer, in part: "I am listing below the various items that I installed in the Bungalow, which are particularly suitable for the Bungalow, and a list of which, with prices, you asked me to furnish you." Among the items listed are valuable light fixtures "executed in wrought iron and hand carved wooden figures," brackets of various designs, a "stained glass window, 'St. George,' 15th century," kitchen appliances, a "Hispano-Moresque Tile fountain," drapery rods, and other hardware, as well as a dictograph system. He closes: "Roy Burns will not have completed the audit of The Squaw Man cost…so I wish him to remain on the picture until he has checked all items." In very good to fine condition, with light creasing, and staple and file holes to the top. In 1931, DeMille filmed The Squaw Man for the third time; this iteration, starring Warner Baxter and Lupe Velez, was the first in sound.
