Early document issued in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, in part: "The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to the Sheriff of the County of Luzerne. Greeting, we command you that you take Walter Spencer late of your County Yeoman, if he be found in your Bailiwick, and him safely keep, so that you have his Body before our Justices at Wilkesborough, at our County Court of Common Pleas…to answer John Fairchild in plea of debt that he render unto him the Sum of three hundred pounds." Boldly signed at the conclusion by Pickering. In very good to fine condition, with light toning along, and old tape to the backs of, the two vertical folds.
