The silver-tone badge, 31 mm x 38 mm, 18 gm, features the raised Olympic rings and Sarajevo Games logo with upper text: "CIO, 87eme Session." A yellow ribbon extends an additional 63 mm. Decisions at the 87th IOC meeting included extending the Calgary 1988 Games to 16 days, adding curling, freestyle skiing, and short-track speed-skating to the program, and modifying the opening and closing ceremonies for the Los Angeles 1984 Games.
