Description

Three signed books associated with science and technology, including: a slipcased limited edition of The Color-Sense in Literature, numbered 59/215, signed on the colophon in fountain pen by physician and social reformer Havelock Ellis; a first edition of Automation, hardcover with dust jacket, signed and inscribed on the first free end page in fountain pen by John Diebold; and a first edition of Cancer and Vitamin C, hardcover with dust jacket, signed and inscribed on a bookplate affixed to the first free end page in felt tip by Linus Pauling and co-author Ewan Cameron. In overall very good to fine condition, with wear to the dust jacket for Automation. Accompanied by an unsigned later printing of Rachel Carson's classic environmental work Silent Spring.
