ALS, one page, 5 x 8, Isington Mill letterhead, August 13, 1965. Letter to "Peter," in full: "I am delighted to learn that you have been accepted for the Grenadier Guards: subject, naturally, to your doing well at Sandhurst. You must concentrate on that and not bother, at present on the question of an Arts degree after Sandhurst. I can tell you that it is very hard indeed to get sent by the Army to Oxford or Cambridge. You have to be very high class to achieve that." In very good to fine condition, with scattered light creasing.
