Scarce comic book entitled 'A Marvel Comics Super Special!: KISS,' Vol. 1, No. 1, published by Marvel Comics in 1977, 66 pages, 8 x 10.75, with the front cover depicting the band as superheroes, with text to lower right reading: "Forty pages of full-color comics. Plus never-before-published photos and features. Printed in real KISS blood." The latter statement is supported by an article in the comic with images that document how blood from each band member was drawn by a registered nurse, witnessed by a notary public, and poured into the vats of red ink used for printing the comic at Marvel's Borden Ink plant in Depew, New York. In fine condition, with light handling wear.
