Two years after leading the American League in losses, Don Larsen had his finest season. In his second year in the Yankees' rotation, he went 11-5 with a 3.26 ERA. His most famous achievement came at the close of the season, when he threw a perfect game against the Brooklyn Dodgers in Game 5 of the 1956 World Series—the only no-hitter in Series history. Larsen needed just 97 pitches to finish the job. As the Topps card from the year of his unparalleled World Series perfect game, this is an ideal example in a high grade. Only one has been graded higher by PSA.
