Description

Gene Cernan's flown sterling silver Skylab 3 (SLM-2) Robbins medal, approximately 1.25″ diameter, with a raised mission insignia design on the face, and the reverse featuring the Skylab space station and engraved launch and landing dates, July 28, 1973 and September 25, 1973. Serial numbered “017F” on the edge. Condition is mint state. Accompanied by its original matching case, and by a letter of authenticity signed by Cernan, who states that he received the medal “shortly after the successful completion of the mission from the Astronaut Flight Office and it has been in a part of my personal collection since then.”
