ALS, one page, 5.5 x 3.5, postcard letterhead, July 1939. Letter to fellow artists Bernard and Noel Adeney, in part: "Many thanks for your p-c telling us the way to you. We expect to arrive about 7.30. I thought before, that it would be earlier, but as tomorrow is the last day at Chelsea there may be some casting to do I may not be able to get away from school until 5.30 or so." In fine condition, with a crease to the lower right corner tip. Bernard Adeney was an English painter and textile designer, and a founding member of the London Group, an artists' exhibiting society, serving as its president from 1921-1923; Noël Gilford Adeney was a dress designer, painter, and novelist.
