The 21-year-old Harrison authorizes rations for "Captain Shrims spies"

ADS signed "Wm. H. Harrison, AdC," one page, 7.75 x 3.75, January 12, 1795. Military document signed while serving in the Northwest Territory as aide-de-camp to 'Mad Anthony' Wayne, in full: "Provision return for three men of Captain Shrims spies for four days commencing the 18th and ending 21st January 1795, Inclusive—Men: 3, Days: 4, Rations: 18, Sir, Issue agreeably to the above return eighteen complete rations." In very good to fine condition, with light overall staining. Captain George Shrim was commander of the ranger detachment of Major General 'Mad Anthony' Wayne's Legion of the United States.
