American cartoonist (1924-2016) best known for the comic strip Mark Trail, which he took over following the retirement of its creator Ed Dodd. Group of seven original hand-inked comic strips by Jack Elrod, ranging in size from 17 x 5.5 to 20 x 7, each signed and inscribed in the upper margin by Elrod. The comic strips are dated from 1970 to 1991. In overall fine condition, with all strips folded in half.
