ALS, three pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.5 x 7, September 30, 1932. Written from Stilgate, Limpsfield, a letter to J. C. C. Taylor, in part: "The books are done & ready for you at No. 6. About Red Pottage—I'll look it up & see whether I have a record. But I rather think there were more than 8 illus'ns. I have most, if not all of the originals. I do not know the history of the book when published. I never saw a copy…I don't know whether it ever appeared in any other form." Rackham adds a short postscript: "The paper of the King of the Golden River is extremely difficult to work on. It is virtually blotting paper." In fine condition.
