Desirable color first edition of the Apollo 11 Lunar Orbit Chart showing the mission's 1st and 30th revolutions for a July 18th launch, 41 x 12, dated June 20, 1969, displaying areas in darkness and earthshine, lunar sunset terminator lines for the 1st and 30th revolutions, and a wide assortment of lunar landmarks and regions. Titled in the lower right corner, "Apollo Lunar Orbit Chart (ALO), Apollo Mission 11, 1st and 30th Revolutions, 18 July 1969 Launch Date." Lithographed by ACIC 6-69, and prepared under the direction of the Department of Defense by the Aeronautical Chart and Information Center. Rolled and in fine condition, with multiple vertical folds. Apollo 11 would in fact launch two days earlier, on July 16th. From the personal collection of Paul Kruppenbacher, a member of the NASA Houston Landing and Recovery Division who trained Apollo astronauts in water recovery procedures and was deployed on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers for crew and spacecraft recovery operations.
