Two pieces of inaugural ephemera: a blue 4.5 x 2.85 printed pass for the "Inauguration of the President," with instructions, "Admit Bearer to House End of Capitol, March 4, 1889," bearing the facsimile signature of Speaker John G. Carlisle; and a ribbon-bound 7.5 x 9.5 souvenir program from the "Inaugural Ball, March 4, 1889," containing three engraved plates: one listing the event's executive committee, and two featuring portraits of President Benjamin Harrison and Vice President Levi P. Morton, both with facsimile signatures. In very good to fine condition, with light staining to the program's covers. Accompanied by a later official engraved portrait of Harrison by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
