Description

ALS signed “Merle,” one page both sides, 7.25 x 10.5, 'KCG' monogrammed letterhead, September 21, 1968. Letter to psychic celebrity astrologist Jeane Dixon, in full: "How kind & dear & sweet of you to send the lovely roses to Detroit. I’m sorry to be so long in thanking you, but from Detroit we went to Jackson Hole & I didn’t have a moment to sit down to write. We were riding, & boating & fishing & sightseeing from morn till night. We are now here at the Bing Crosby’s & leave tomorrow for a ranch of some friend of his in Mexico. My husband & I then leave on the 29th for Panama & the inauguration of the new president. I hope you won’t forget to let me know if you can come through Mexico—We would love to have you stay with us. I loved meeting you & I hope we will know each other well & for many years to come." In fine condition, with a light block of toning to the first page. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope and by a carbon copy of Dixon’s original letter to Oberon from September 11, 1968, care of Henry Ford II at Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
