LS signed “Oliver P,” one page, 7.5 x 9, June 5, 1655. Letter addressed to a member of the Admiralty. Cromwell, as Lord Protector, authorizes the Admiralty to give order for the distribution of 600 swords for ships bound to the West Indies. Affixed by the upper portion to a slightly larger sheet. In very good to fine condition, with clipped corners, trimmed edges, and staining to the upper corner areas. A superb piece from Britain's notorious Lord Protector.
