TLS signed “Fondly, Ingrid,” one page, 8 x 11, July 9, 1955. Letter to director George Cukor, in part: "When I sent you the script I had hastely read it and EXPLAINED the story to Roberto. Now my Italian producer and Roberto have READ the script and they find the Italian man and the feeling of the Italian background complitely unbelievable and impossible. That there are several parts of the dialoge that are not acceptable. I spoke to Nardo Bercovici (he is married to Marta Toren who is a good friend of mine and wanted to play the other woman) who said he had sent you his script anyway to get your opinion. Now since you so kindly said that you would like to make another picture with me (and I would be delighted to make one with you!) the Italian producer with whom I have a contract would like to suggest some other properties for you in case you would be interested." In fine condition.
