Founding Father of the United States (1730-1796) who is one of only five men to sign both the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution of the United States, and is the cousin to Charles Carroll of Carrollton, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Revolutionary War-dated 'Continental Currency' note for "Six Dollars," signed "D. Carroll," 3.75 x 2.75, issued as No. 37363, reading: This Bill entitles the Bearer to receive Six Spanish Milled Dollars, or the Value thereof in Gold or Silver, according to a Resolution of Congress, passed at Baltimore, Feb. 26, 1777."
