Payment receipt, which reads: "Rec'd December the 23rd 1786 of Wager & Habacker their Endorsement to my Note of this date for One thousand Dollars for my use and to Redeem a Note of like Sum." Signed prominently at the conclusion by Mifflin. In fine condition. Mifflin served as Speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1785 to 1787. From the Collection of Dr. Lawrence E.
