Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Marcos Moura Teixeira, a former technical coordinator for the Brazilian National Soccer Team, who affirms that the medal derives from his personal collection. After going 2-0-1 in group play, Brazil ousted Korea and the Soviet Union in the knockout stages before falling to Portugal in the final, losing 4-2 in a penalty shoot-out.
