Description

Group lot of four souvenir typescripts featuring Gerald Ford’s statement on the findings of the Warren Commission following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, 6 x 8 and 6.5 x 8.5, each signed in ink or felt tip by an attendee of the proceedings, including: “Gerald Ford, 5/15/96” (on Ford's personal golden seal letterhead); “James R. Leavelle, Detective, Dallas Police Dept.”; “Malcolm O. Perry, M.D.,” who adds, “My testimony is clear and full as in the Warren Report. I have no new knowledge or additional information. Sorry to be of little help”; and “Bobby W. Hargis,” who adds, “The Warren Com. Report is as close to the truth as you’ll find. We only deal in. the facts and the facts are that Oswald find the rifle that killed the President and I do not know if there was a conspiracy or not. Oswald also killed a good friend of mine. J. D. Tippitt who used to be my partner and as you know your partner is like a brother.” The latter three are copies of similar Ford typescripts, and bear his facsimile signature. In overall fine condition.
