Letter to "My dear Carter," in full: "I have your letter and of course I am glad you like my book, and very certainly I will send you an autographed copy of it. Also I will send you an autographed photo which you may like to have. A story of mine which I think would interest you is 'King Coal.'" In fine condition. Based on the 1913-1914 Colorado coal strikes, Sinclair's 1917 novel King Coal describes the poor working conditions in the coal mining industry in the western United States during the 1910s.
