Original vintage matte-finish 5.5 x 3.5 postcard photo by Chalmers of Rutland, Vermont, showing the 'Illustrious Vagabonds'—Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone, Calvin Coolidge, Henry Ford, and Grace Coolidge—gathered together outdoors. Firestone appears to be signing the lid of a barrel, while Ford and Coolidge look on, and Edison is engaged in conversation with Grace Coolidge. Affixed to a contemporary 6.5 x 5.5 mount, captioned below in ink. In fine condition. It was the custom of these men to retire to the country on an annual two-week camping trip accompanied by their wives and children. These trips were highly publicized and were eventually immortalized in a Broadway play entitled Tom and Henry.
