Description

TLS as president, one page, 7.25 x 8.75, White House letterhead, September 8, 1906. Letter to his friend and former classmate, William T. Blodgett, in full: "I am delighted at the good news and congratulate you most heartily. All I object to, my dear fellow, is your having waited so long. But I know of Miss Whitney, so I am well prepared to believe that she was well worth waiting for. May I ask that you convey to her my regards? Again conveying to you my congratulations." In very good to fine condition, with overall creasing. Accompanied by the original White House mailing envelope.
