Description

ALS signed “Nancy,” three pages, 6.25 x 9.25, personal Executive Mansion letterhead, July 28, 1972. Letter to columnist Aileen Mehle, in part: "Just before I left on our trip Jerry called and read me your column! I wanted to write but things get so rushed I didn't have a chance. It was a marvelous write up and you certainly get everything in!—including our son and Ali! I'm afraid he forgot all about Versailles, Pompeii etc. when he was able to go to the weighing in, had his picture taken with Ali and was in the first row at the fight! It was a wonderful trip—too rushed which they always seem to be but very interesting. I got sick in Rome but managed to struggle out for the audience with the Pope which I was determined not to miss." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Reagan's own hand.
