Two checks: a Merchants Savings loan & Trust Co. check, 7 x 2.75, filled out in another hand and signed by Cyrus McCormick, "C. H. McCormick, Chairman," payable to Thayer and Toby for $98.55, September 17, 1872; and a C. H. & L. J. McCormick business check, 7 x 2.75, filled out and signed by Leander McCormick, "Mr. L. J. McCormick," payable to his brother's wife, Nettie McCormick, for $30, April 3, 1876. Both checks are matted with portraits to an overall size of 20 x 20. In overall fine condition, with a small repair to a cancellation cut.
