TLS as president, one page, 7 x 9, White House letterhead, November 30, 1932. Shortly after his lopsided defeat in the 1932 presidential election, Hoover writes to Earle S. Kinsley of the Republican National Committee, in full: "I wish to convey to you my appreciation of your effective leadership in the campaign,—a campaign against great odds. The election result should, I believe, be taken not as a discouragement to the Republican Party but rather as a challenge to continued zealous and aggressive work in behalf of its sound and enduring principles. I wish to thank you personally for your able and unselfish work in behalf of the Party and myself." In fine condition.
