January 1960: "Everything seems to be going along well for Jack"

Patriarch of the fabled family of American politicians (1888-1969) who served as American ambassador to Great Britain from 1938 to 1940. TLS signed “Joe Kennedy,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, January 11, 1960. Letter to John G. Mahanna, editor of the Berkshire Eagle, in part: "Everything seems to be going along well for Jack and we are very optimistic about the future." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Kennedy would win the New Hampshire Democratic Primary three months later, en route to securing the Democratic presidential nomination in July.
