American military officer (1830-1882) who, despite earning the sobriquet 'Hero of Little Round Top' for his actions at Gettysburg, was humiliated when General Philip Sheridan removed him from command after Warren's supposedly ineffective performance at Five Forks. Civil War-dated partly-printed DS, signed “G. K. Warren,” one page, 17 x 14, April 23, 1864. An "Inventory and Inspection Report of Unserviceable Ordnance Stores," approved on the docketing panel by Warren. The document lists the "Unserviceable Ordnance and Ordnance Stores for which Lieut. James P. Boggs…is responsible and which have been examined and reported on by H. Howard, Capt. & Div. Inspector," accounting for poor condition cartridge boxes, cartridge box plates, cartridge box belt plates, waist belts, waist belt plates, bayonet scabbards, and cap pouch. In fine condition.
