World War II-dated Japanese flag, or Nisshoki, belonging to the 49th Field Artillery Battalion of the United States Army, 27 x 32.75, with upper field marked "49th Field Artillery" and central red sun-disc marked "Okinawa." The lower portion of the flag is signed by 29 American soldiers, with each adding their respective hometown. In fine condition, with light staining end expected wear.
