Sib Hashian's personally-owned pair of two relatively early, vivid original paintings by Hiro Yamagata: one entitled "Travail de Plaque" depicting a balloon festival, accomplished in acrylic on stretched 17.5 x 14.5 canvas, signed and dated in the lower right corner, "Yamagata 77"; and the other entitled "Marathon" showing a race through the streets of Paris, accomplished in acrylic on 17.75 x 14.75 stretched canvas, signed and dated in the lower right, "Yamagata 79." Both pieces are matted and framed to 23.5 x 20.5, and titled on the reverse. In overall fine condition. These wonderful paintings by Yamagata showcase his distinctive style in portraying 'flat' cityscapes, as well as his brilliant use of vibrant color. A superb pair of original artworks owned by a legendary musician.
