Group lot of four items from Sib Hashian's military service in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, including: Hashian's embroidered 4th Infantry Division patch; a laminated Armed Forces of the United States identification card, 3.5 x 2.25, with a small affixed photo of Hashian, who signs below, "John T. Hashian," that lists his service number and grade, "2LT USAR," with reverse featuring his thumb prints, date of birth, physical traits, date of issue, "23 Jan 70," and card number, "D160092"; a citation for "The Army Commendation Medal," as directed by the Secretary of the Army and presented to "Second Lieutenant John T. Hashian…Ordnance Corps, United States Army…4th Infantry Division, who distinguished himself by meritorious achievement in connection with military operations against an armed hostile force in the Republic of Vietnam. During the period 15 October 1970 to 15 November 1970," with accompanying transmittal letter from the Headquarters of the 4th Infantry Division, dated November 19, 1970; and a satin-finish photo of Hashian receiving the honor as a 21-year-old lieutenant. In overall very good to fine condition. Accompanied by the citation's original 4th Infantry Division presentation folder.
