Impressive original color 28 x 22 poster for the Atlanta International Pop Festival held at the Atlanta International Raceway in Hampton, Georgia, on July 4 and 5, 1969, featuring a hand emerging from a laurel wreath and giving the peace sign, with numerous banners listing the various scheduled performers: Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker, Chuck Berry, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Johnny Winter, Spirit, Canned Heat, the Dave Brubeck Trio with Gerry Mulligan, Chicago Transit Authority, and more. Published by International Pop Festivals, Inc., and designed by Lance Bragg. In very good to fine condition, with tack holes, staple holes, and light staining to the edges. With crowd estimates ranging from the high tens of thousands to as high as 150,000, the first Atlanta International Pop Festival was celebrated on the 1969 July Fourth weekend, more than a month before Woodstock. They printed far fewer of these printed board posters than the thin paper ones and they are not easy to come by in any condition.
