RadioShack DuoFone 60-minute cassette tape from an answering machine containing three voice messages from Prince, annotated on one side, "7/22/87-9, 2 message from P," and annotated on the other side, "9/9/87-2/3/88, 1 msg Prince." The contents of the tape have been transferred to a digital audio disc. The first Prince message can be found on the first track at marker 2:10, in full: “Karen, this is, um, Prince. Call me.”
The second Prince message, found on track three at marker 4:18, in full: “Um, make sure you invite, um, if you get this message, Jerome and Bobby and Jimi Jam and those guys and any musicians in town. Bye.”
The third, on track seven, records the beginning of a conversation at 4:06 in the morning. Prince asks: "Hello. Can you turn your machine off, it's Prince."
