Rare and impressive 45 x 30 jugate campaign poster advertising the Massachusetts Democratic Primary on September 13, 1960, featuring portraits of John F. Kennedy and Endicott Peabody, with text: "Kennedy for President / Peabody for Governor: Vote in the Democratic Primary Sept. 13th." The poster is printed with a vivid day-glo orange ink. Mounted to a larger wooden board and in good condition, with heavy soiling, staining tears to edges, and overall wear. Accompanied by an issue of the APIC journal The Keynoter from 2005, depicting a similar poster on the cover. Endicott Peabody, who coordinated JFK's historic campaigns in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire, came in second in the Democratic primary for governor. He would win the governorship two years later—largely thanks to President Kennedy's endorsement—and served a single term.
