Partly-printed vellum DS as king, signed “George R.,” one page, 15.75 x 11.75, July 25, 1810. King George appoints "Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Brislane on Half Pay of Our late York Rangers…to be Colonel in Our Army." Signed in the upper left by the king, with original white and blue paper seals affixed below. In very good to fine condition, with some soiling along the central vertical fold, and a clipped upper right corner. By this time the king had begun to go blind and suffer from mental illness, thus his rather erratic signature.
