Two letters from Titanic survivors Millvina Dean and Eleanor Shuman: an ALS signed "Millvina," one page, 8.25 x 8.25, February 17, 2004, addressed to James, in part: "I don't think I ever told you that after 2 or 3 signed articles I am paid £5 each. I just had to charge because I was getting hundreds of things to sign, and I discovered people were making a lot of money out of me!"; and an ALS signed "Eleanor," one page, 6.25 x 8.75, stamp-dated October 1, 1997, addressed to Philip, in part: "I have had a very pleasant week. It was my birthday Sept. 23 and I received many cards and best wishes. Friends are just wonderful. The only problem is I am one year older. Nothing can be done about that." In overall fine condition.
