Two items: a TLS, one page, 5.25 x 6.75, December 20, 1929, in full: "I cheerfully send you the autograph you wish"; and a partly-printed DS as secretary of state, one page, 12 x 17.25, February 23, 1906, in part: "To all whom these presents shall come, Greeting: Know Ye, that the bearer hereof, William A. Crickitt, a Citizen of the United States, Consul General of the United States at Auckland, New Zealand, is about to proceed to his post." Signed at the conclusion by Elihu Root, with lower left bearing the original orange Department of State seal. In overall fine condition, with expected folds to document.
