Letter to Glenni William Scofield at the Register of the Treasury, in full: "I desire to commend to your favorable consideration Mr. Jabez Fox, a Clerk in your Office. He is a worthy Clergyman of this city, doing service to his people as a Pastor on a very small salary, and he is mainly dependent upon his salary in your office. I hope in any charges that may occur, his position will not be disturbed." In very good to fine condition, with faint irregular toning.
