Two ALSs, both signed "O. W. Holmes," one page, 4.5 x 7, dated April 29, 1864 and March 29, 1893. The earlier letter: "I will send you two or three volumes with autographs for the N. Iowa Sanitation Fair with much pleasure." The second letter, which is affixed to a larger sheet, in full: "It is with much pleasure that I accept the title of Honorary Member of the Theatre of Arts and Letters which has been conferred upon me." In overall fine condition, with two small pieces of old tape the two corners of the earlier letter.
