Be assured that if ever I visit your area—I would like to meet old friends. Present day activities linked to getting over leg injuries suffered in a fall last Oct"; and a TLS signed "C. W. Nimitz," one page, 8 x 10.5, Fleet Admiral letterhead, April 11, 1960, in part: "Your very kind letter on the occasion of my seventy-fifth birthday is deeply appreciated. I am most grateful to my friends for their thoughtfulness." In very good to fine condition, with light creasing, toning, and staple holes. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope for the typed letter.
