Filipino lawyer and politician (1917-1989) who served as president of the Philippines from 1965 to 1986. Two items: a glossy 4 x 5 head-and-shoulders photo of Marcos, signed and inscribed in blue felt tip; and a TLS, one page, 6.25 x 9.25, Malacanang letterhead, May 31, 1966, apologizing for a delay in answering and enclosing the signed photograph. In fine condition, with staple hoes to the upper left corner of the letter, and light surface impressions to the top of the photo from typed notations on the back. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope and a larger unsigned photo of the Marcos family.
