Description

TLS signed “Ron,” one page, 8.5 x 11, State of California, Governor's Office letterhead, September 13, 1967. Letter to Jimmy Starr, in part: "Thanks for the letter bringing Nancy and me up to date on your activities. Much water has indeed gone over the bridge since South Bend. I've checked my calendar, Jimmy, to see if I could be on hand for Ramada Convention. Unfortunately, I'm already committed all four days with appearance here in California. It's a double disappointment: it would be good to see you again and, of course, visit with the Davises." Reagan adds a handwritten postscript: "Up there in the 3rd line I have the water going over the bridge—that'll give you an idea of how wet a season we had." In fine condition.
