TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, July 18, 1975. Letter to Helen McCallum, in full: "Just a line to thank you for your recent letter and thoughts on malpractice insurance. Your suggestion made as much sense as any of the proposed solutions I have heard; for it will always be the patient anyway, who will foot the bill. It was good to hear from you." Lower portion bears a note from McCallum to another doctor, explaining that she told Reagan about her "idea for having a patient either sign a release for critical treatment or pay insurance for it." In fine condition.
