Description

American engineer and pioneer in the wireless communications industry (born 1928) who invented the first handheld cellular mobile phone (distinct from the car phone) in 1973 and led the Motorola team that developed it and brought it to market in 1983. Group lot of five items signed in ink or felt tip by communications engineer Martin Cooper, including: a Topps trading card, an FDC with color cachet, a white 8.5 x 11 sheet, and two color glossy photos, 6 x 4 and 10 x 8; with the exception of the sheet, all of the items show Cooper holding a handheld cell phone. In overall fine condition.
