Description

Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 18 x 14.5, January 18, 1900. President McKinley appoints Irving W. Tyson as "Postmaster at Schuylkill Haven in the County of Schuylkill, State of Pennsylvania." Signed at the conclusion by McKinley and countersigned by Perry S. Heath as assistant postmaster general. Golden Post Office Department seal remains affixed to lower left corner. Matted with a portrait of McKinley to an overall size of 36.5 x 21. In very good to fine condition, with overall wrinkling, a split to the horizontal fold edge, and some staining in the vicinity of the seal and ribbon.
