Scarce letter from Floyd the Barber

Stage, screen, and radio character actor (1905-1969) who is best remembered as Floyd Lawson, the barber in The Andy Griffith Show. Rare ALS, penned on the inside of a 5 x 7.25 stationery card, May 3, 1965. Letter to Bonnie Lou Ivers, in full: "Thank you for your lovely letter. I too had a hard time walking again. I had a stroke, but I am getting along fine. God bless you to keep up the good work. I'm getting a new batch of pictures this week. You will be the 1st one I'll send out." In very fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in his own hand. A scarce autograph in general, this is the first letter by McNear that we have offered.
