Untranslated autograph manuscript draft in French, headed "Courrier de Paris," 34 pages contained in a 7 x 8.25 three-quarter leather binding, signed at the conclusion, "Anatole France." The text of the lengthy manuscript mentions historical figures including Martin de Gallardon, Joan of Arc, King Charles VII, King Louis XVI, King Louis XVIII, and others. In very good to fine condition, with some soiling and wrinkling to pages. France contributed a series of articles headed "Courrier de Paris" to L'Univers illustré between 1883 and 1890, under the pseudonym 'Gérome.'
