Extraordinarily rare pin from the Rabbit Maranville Day festivities in Boston on July 26, 1930, honoring the long time Boston Brave and future Hall of Famer. Maranville helped lead the Boston National League franchise to their only Miracle World Series title in 1914. The 1.25-inch celluloid pin is essentially MINT with nary a mark to the face, and the complete "Lopez 3 School St. Boston" paper backing remains fully intact. At the time of his retirement, Maranville played the most seasons in the National League at 24, a record eventually surpassed by Pete Rose in 1986.
