Very desirable glossy 8 x 10 Apple Records publicity photo of Lennon during a recording session, signed and inscribed in black felt tip, "To Gabi, ich liebe dich, John Lennon, 74," who draws a small smiley face with glasses. In fine condition, with scattered light creasing. Accompanied by certificates of authenticity from Tracks and Beckett Authentication Services, and a letter of authenticity from noted Beatles expert Frank Caiazzo, which states that "Gabi was German woman who was visiting Los Angeles in 1974 during the period called 'The Lost Weekend,' when John was in LA carousing with some of his hard partying musician friends. Gabi met John at a dinner and he took a liking to her, so he signed this photograph for her. Lennon autographs from this period are extremely scarce. This is a beautiful example of a John Lennon solo era signed promo photograph."
